The Fitbit Charge 6 was officially introduced in the United States on Thursday, with its imminent release in India anticipated according to the Fitbit India website. This latest iteration follows the successful launch of the Fitbit Charge 5 in August 2021. Notably, the Fitbit Charge 6 boasts an enhanced heart rate tracking monitor, promising superior accuracy. Additionally, this smart wearable offers a comprehensive range of health monitoring capabilities, including a menstrual cycle tracker, and is equipped with various sports modes. Furthermore, it incorporates GPS functionality and is available in three distinct color variations.

Price & Availability

The Fitbit Charge 6 is available in Coral, Obsidian, and Porcelain color variants and is priced at $159.95 (approximately Rs. 13,300) in the United States. Interested customers can place pre-orders for the product via the official Fitbit website. The product is scheduled to be available for purchase from October 12 onwards.

Specifications

The Fitbit Charge 6 boasts a rectangular colour touchscreen display that features an always-on functionality. Its body is constructed with a combination of aluminium and resin, while the band is crafted from silicone and includes an aluminium buckle for secure fastening.

This smartwatch offers an extensive range of more than 40 sports modes to cater to various fitness activities. Additionally, it is equipped with advanced features such as an optical heart rate monitor, a 3-axis accelerometer, an oxygen saturation monitor, a temperature sensor, and multipurpose electrical sensors that are compatible with the ECG (electrocardiogram) application and the EDA (electrodermal activity) Scan application.

In line with other fitness trackers, the Fitbit Charge 6 diligently tracks essential health metrics including heart rate, sleep cycle, breathing rate, stress management, and skin temperature. Furthermore, it includes a menstrual cycle tracker specifically designed for individuals who menstruate.

The smartwatch also incorporates an inbuilt GPS feature, enabling accurate location tracking. Its NFC connectivity facilitates convenient payments through Google Wallet. Moreover, the watch supports Google Fast Pair, Google Maps, and YouTube Music (exclusive to YouTube Premium subscribers). It is compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones. Notably, the Fitbit Charge 6 boasts a 5 ATM rating for water resistance and claims to provide an impressive battery life of up to seven days.
