On November 7, the iQOO 12 series is set to be launched, consisting of a base model and a pro model. Prior to the release, the company has already disclosed the processor details of the handsets. Various rumors regarding the other specifications of the upcoming smartphones have been circulating in recent weeks. Additionally, a company official has unveiled the design of the iQOO 12 Pro model’s BMW M Motorsport edition. Furthermore, details about the camera capabilities of the phone have also been hinted at.

Here’s What We Know

Through a Weibo post, an iQOO official has showcased the design of the forthcoming iQOO 12 Pro’s BMW M Motorsport edition model. The phone is presented in a white color variant, featuring subtle stripes in the BMW colors – blue, black, and red – engraved in the bottom left corner of the back panel. Notably, an inscription on the camera island claims that the phone offers zooming capabilities of up to 100x.

The iQOO 12 Pro’s triple rear camera units are housed within a slightly elevated rectangular camera module with rounded edges. The LED flash unit is positioned outside the camera island in a vertical orientation.

Specifications

The iQOO 12 Pro is anticipated to come equipped with a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B sensor and a periscope telephoto lens that can provide up to 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. Additionally, the phone is expected to feature a primary OmniVision OV50H sensor and a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor with a 15mm ultrawide lens.

As per previous reports, the iQOO 12 series models will run on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, and the iQOO India CEO has hinted at the launch of the iQOO 12 5G model in the country. The iQOO 12 lineup is also expected to sport Samsung E7 AMOLED displays with a 2K resolution and improved gaming graphics that can support popular games at 144 frames per second.

The base iQOO 12 may come with a 4,880mAh battery and 120W wired fast charging, while the iQOO 12 Pro is likely to have a larger 4,980mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support.
